Joining the movement against G8

April 21, 2007

The G8 conference is taking place between the 6 and 8 of june in Heiligendamm/Rostock. There is a lof of criticism concerning the anti-democratic conference. 8 people should not have the power do decide about 8 billion people.

There are a lot of movement which try to disrupt the event. One of it is the G8Extra. They have produced a german video to motivate people to get on their feet and join the resistance..

btw. I’m trying to get there too.

hope I see you there

Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 released

April 11, 2007

Debian GN/Linux Etch (=4.0) was released on the 8 of april with 4 month delay. I’m using etch several month now and I’m pleased to see it getting “stable”. Which doesn’t mean it was stable it its general meaning. I had no problem with it whatsoever.

The good news for all users using debian testing (now: lenny) is that new packages are coming in. The good news for debian stable users is, they can now use etch which is more modern than the prevous debian sarge. Good news for Microsoft user, another modern operating systems is released and this increased the pressure on Microsoft to make good products.

so thx to all debian developer and: goodbye microsoft
